Software Engineer - Machine Learning/Python (m/f) 

to join our expanding  Product Development team in our Munich , Germany (DE) office.

 

Responsibilities

  • Development of state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms to support the analysis of digital pathology images
  • Integrate algorithms into Definiens products
  • Develop high quality software applications
  • Optimize performance and quality of existing software components

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in software engineering, computer sciences, mathematics, physics, bioinformatics or comparable degree
  • 3+ years of experience working with Python and related technologies
  • Experience in solving image and data analysis problems using machine learning, Random Forest and Deep Learning (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.) approaches
  • Experience with computer vision (e.g. OpenCV, ITK) and distributed computation
  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, multithreading and inter-process communications
  • Experience in designing RESTful APIs and WebServices with server components
  • Talent for the conceptualization of problems and analytical thinking
  • Collaborative and open to new ideas, loves to work on a high-performing team
  • Is a detail oriented, results-driven individual who enjoys working in an informal, collegial workplace
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Experience with developing of high-performant systems
  • Good knowledge of database technologies (e.g. SQL, noSQL, big data technologies)
  • Solid knowledge and experience of cloud technologies (e.g. AWS)
